The Meriden Family Zone is a pilot project that builds community and connects families in downtown Meriden with services, activities, events--and each other--to help them help their children get the most out of school and life. The MFZ is modeled on the highly successful Harlem Children's Zone. CFI was recently awarded a highly competitive Promise Neighborhood planning grant from the U.S. Department of Education to create a plan to enhance and expand the MFZ.
