Public Meeting On Early Learning Blueprint

For the past several months, a group of parent and community leaders has met to design a plan of action for Meriden that will guide programs and services for young children.
Our Preliminary Findings Will Be Unveiled At This Meeting.
We are looking for your reactions and input on strategies to help Meriden's youngest citizens be ready, willing and able to succeed. You can also help be answering 2 short survey questions at survey/SurveyView.asp?SurveyID=1

Find out about the Senior Buddy Readers program, which involves more than 90 seniors reading with 200 first- and second-graders in six of Meriden's elementary schools. For more information about Buddy Readers, call David at 203.630.3566.
Health Care For All!
Fr. Jack Hoak of Meriden's St. Rose Community Church was among more than 70 Meriden clergy and layleaders at a March 7 dinner to advance the work for universal health care. Other guests included Mayor Mark Benigni, City Councilor Hilda Santiago, House Majority Leader Chris Donovan, and US Congressman Chris Murphy.
